Find Your Voice: Blog Hop

The Find Your Voice Summer Storytelling Workshop kicked off today and to celebrate we're having a blog hop with lots of giveaways! We're going to have a blast this summer and we really hope you play along! I adore Kristin and everything she does and I am thrilled to be contributing to another one of her amazing workshops!

This workshop is about finding your storytelling voice. You are an awesome person with amazing stories, so this summer we're going to work together to find the most genuine and authentic way for you to tell those stories.

This workshop is for everyone! You definitely don't need to be a scrapbooker or paper-crafter to play along. We'll be telling stories through pictures, photographs, social media, prose, and more. The only thing you need is a willingness to become the author of your own story and the courage to step outside of your comfort zone.

As paper crafters, some of us struggle with the balance of photos, pretty paper & words-- we have a need to not only showour creativity, but getting our important thoughts & memoriesdown on paper. I LOVE to write, I really enjoy typography & combining heartfelt journaling with a page or project I'm working on can really MAKE a project. I wanted to be involved with this workshop to remind myself how important those words can be, and hopefully encourage others to do MORE writing, journaling & storytelling. I cannot wait to see the great projects I know will come from these lessons!

Today each of us are telling you just how important Find Your Voice is to us, make sure you hop along, there's even a great giveaway [find out more on Kristin's blog!] Here's all the participants today:

  2. I too work hard at balancing writing and images. Sometimes I look at my sketchbook, and there are as many words as there are drawings! Whatever it takes to get the story down though, right? I look forward to pushing my boundaries in the FYV workshop, trying to take some of the angst out of my words/images balancing act.

  3. I usually just let my photos do the talking on instagram, but I know I should take the time to write and share more than just the visual. Can't wait to hear everyone's stories!
